This page is not intended to be something official.
It is just meant to inform fellow Pronto users on some additions
I made to Pronto.
The beauty of Open Source is that you can change things you don't like the way they are. Therefore I decided to provide several Pronto tarballs with the changes I made. In order to be able to differ between those unofficial packages I decided to call them the -fs series.
It is finally there - our favourite email client using Gtk2!
Much work has been done to port Pronto to Gtk2 and the result is in my
opinion quite presentable. It has nearly all the bells and whistles of
the Gtk1 version. I'm using it on a daily basis perhaps since March 2004
and I think that there aren't any serious bugs left. There are two minor
drawbacks however: You cannot display html mails anymore and cpronto,
the Pronto console client, won't work with this Pronto version, too.
If you aren't convinced by now that you want to have a Gtk2 capable Pronto have a look at those beautiful screenshots:
Here are the links to the Gtk2 stuff you'll additionally need:
Grab the source for Pronto 3.0.3-fs (signature). The complete changelog is available, too.
This is my continuation of the "old" Pronto version 2 series for which
I have mostly made crypto additions.
As it is quite complicated to manage a lose collection of patches
for a official Prono release, I provide Pronto tarballs with all my
patches applied.
Changes since Pronto 2.4.0:

The Pronto WebMail client is a interface to access your email database
through a (hopefully) nice webinterface.
It features quite strong user authentication through the usage of one-time
passwords.
